Our mission: the enterprise publishing

Our mission: the enterprise publishing - Enterprise Knowledge Reegineering, EKR Srl "

In an increasingly global market, to be able to easily communicate information about the company and its products / services, becomes a need every day more strategic.

Whether you use paper, PDF and websites, doesn't matter: what counts is that information start from the source company and arrive correct and complete to customer, anywhere in the world it is, with convenient production and publication costs.

The creation of quality documents in a reasonable time is not always easy. The need to achieve updated reports, manuals in line with the product, not generalists data sheets in times always reduced, can become an important brake on the business development.

The main problem in publishing is often a need for a kind of structured non-transactional knowledge "industrial" management. (what in general is not processed by ERP systems, but often is managed with traditional Word or Excel).

EKR specialists allow the customer to operate all those organizational, logistical, managerial and strategic activities to govern the knowledge flow within and outside the company: all this, starting from information collecting tools, passing through a set of tailored applications and ending with the multichannel publishing, namely the knowledge distribution through various media.

EKR uses a technological framework made of a few commercial products that share the possibility to interact with hybrid XML-based data structures and with traditional relational databases.

A few of these are the well-known Adobe products (FrameMaker, InDesign, Acrobat, Flash, Flex, Photoshop, RoboHelp, Live Cycle) and the EKR Multilanguage Suite.

At the end, in every project Adobe and Altova certified training is being given to staff.

EKR allows the customer to implement all those organizational, managerial and strategic activities, to govern the knowledge flow within and outside the company.

To do this EKR uses a technological framework composed of commercial products that are sharing the opportunity to interact with hybrid XML-based data structures and with traditional relational databases.

Migrating the production of communication products: from craft to industrial stage

When you start dealing with business knowledge management is often perceived that the used method so far, a little craft or home-made, has big limitations, and it is difficult to find truly effective solutions.

The craftsman uses his experience and a set of simple immediately usable tools, but for any work re-builds everything from scratch.

The industry capitalizes experience (knowledge), use complex tools (machines), fragments and make vertical the whole process, requires major efforts in the design phase, but when "up" produces not comparable results with artisan work.

A fundamental need: knowledge safeguard

Is intuitive to think that knowledge management involves the need to process a large amount of information, and, at the same time, requires an adequate ease and timeliness in the distribution of the knowledge itself.

In an increasingly pressing sequence, the produced information inside the company (knowledgebase) needs to be:

Therefore becomes imperative to capitalize on experience, on the working method and the information taxonomy, that is the logical and hierarchical organization of the information itself.

In addition, for companies that have continuous relationships with their customers, is increasingly important to ensure an overtime consistent and controllable mode of expression.

It clearly shows, then, the importance of handing over the enterprise knowledge to a file format of guaranteed longevity, not sensible to interpretations or personal moods of those who have to deal with the information.

An ERP for knowledge: the knowledge base as a strategic capital

As within any ERP, there is an appropriate tool for each specific phase of the process. So every EKR solution deals to give each person an adequate tool to its specific needs, other to enter, manage, edit or consult a "piece" of information.

To reengineer the knowledge we look at a document, or at a comprehensive set of information, as at an industrial product.

The document must be disassembled into parts and there must be a clear separation between content and form/presentation: EKR designs a document as a multilevel parts list, thinking at the atomic sentence as the minimum logistic element

All atomic and indivisible sentences can be treated similarly, the way an ERP deals with items of a products list. This allows you to be able to use simple but powerful automated systems to handle the atomic elements with a completely automated and ERROR FREE method.

This is the base for our multilingual, complex reporting and manuals creation solutions.
